I’m new to Yoga, how do I start

If you are new to Yoga, we encourage you take some of our beginner workshops, either Learning Kundalini Yoga or Beginner Hatha Yoga Workshop. Also, depending on your level of physical ability you can start either with some of our gentler regular classes or a regular class but definitely let the teacher know that you are a beginner so that they can go in depth with the description of the poses.

Do you have any specials for new students

If you have never been in the studio before, we offer $20 pass for unlimited Yoga classes during the first week. You can check out different styles and teachers and choose which class(es) will be the best for you. This pass does not apply for workshops.

What if I’m not flexible

Then you need yoga even more. And yoga is not only about flexibility. It is a scientific system how to achieve strength, stamina, flexibility, endurance, consistency, regularity, calmness, balance and peace of mind. It works on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. You start your practice from where you are and observe how in time your body and mind changes for the better.

Do I need a mat

We have some mats in the studio that you can borrow, but in the long run, we encourage you to have your own personal mat for hygienic reasons . We offer natural rubber mats for sale. Natural rubber mats don’t have harmful chemicals and PVC, they don’t pollute earth and your hands and feet won’t slip. You can check them out when you visit the studio.

What should I wear

Wear any comfortable clothing that allows bending and stretching. Examples are shorts, tights, sweat pants, T-shirts etc. Yoga is practiced bare foot.

Are your classes drop in

All our regular classes are drop in. For workshops, you need to pre-register.

What are the most athletic classes

Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yoga for Core Strength and some of Kundalini Yoga classes are the most athletic.

What are the gentle classes

Gentle Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga are very slow paced.

What are the workshops

Workshop is a pre-registered course that consists of definite number of classes. Workshops are paid separately. Regular class passes are not applicable for workshops.

How to choose a style of Yoga to practice

The best way to choose a style of Yoga to practice is to try the same style at least two-three times and see how it feels for you. Some people choose to combine different styles depending on how they feel and what their body and mind need at certain time.

What are the classes without chanting

Hatha based classes (Core, Restorative etc.) and Ashtanga classes don't have chanting as a part of the class.

Do you have showers, lockers and change rooms

We do have change rooms for men and women but we don't have showers and lockers.

If I have an injury or a physical condition

Please ask your doctor if you can practice Yoga and let the teacher know what is it that you have. The teacher will explain the modification of the poses that would be accessible to you so that you can get the most benefits from your practice. Also, during the class, follow your instincts and common sense. If a certain pose doesn't feel right, don't do it.

Which classes have meditation

Kundalini Yoga classes have a meditation as a part of the class
