Soon
after completing the classical Hatha Yoga teacher training course in 2002 at
Toronto's Yoga Studio, Margo began teaching women ages 25 to 55 at Avine
Wellness Spa and at the Kings Mill Club. Her next group of students were
developmentally- delayed adults and clients of the Community Living Toronto
agency's group homes. As of late, she is teaching yoga to seniors at the Loyola
Arrupe Centre. She continues to teach seniors and will soon be adding teens to
her student repertoire.Margo has been Transcendental Meditating since 1991 and has
had her own yoga self-practice since 2001. She enjoys trying various styles of
yoga so that she can share a universal yoga perspective with her students. Due
to everyone's different physical needs and limitations, postures and kriyas are
selected that are most effective to address specific body conditions.
Other career areas for Margo include mental health
counseling at various social housing projects in Toronto and she has also been
teaching and practising reflexology since 1995. Margo continues to take Yoga
workshops, advance teacher training and classes to enhance her post-graduate
teacher education. Traveling to yoga retreats in different parts of the world
has also become a recent passion. |
