Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

Why this program?

Bliss Yoga Studio offers a 200-hour Yoga teacher training program that meets the standards defined by Yoga Alliance. The program will provide the students with the essential knowledge and skills to teach Hatha Yoga classes independently.

Students will get an understanding of the yoga asana (poses) practice from a technique, functional, energetic and therapeutic perspective, of the elements of pranayama (breathing) and meditation practices and how to build lesson plans. In addition, the program will cover functional anatomy as it relates to yoga practice, traditional yoga (subtle) anatomy, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy, lifestyle, professional ethics and the essentials of the business of teaching yoga.

A distinguishing aspect of this program is the focus on the personal growth and emotional healing aspects of the practice, bringing in elements from the physical, meditative and spiritual traditions of Yoga as well as insights from contemporary research into human behaviour, relationships and consciousness.

The faculty consists of experienced yoga teachers with Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Yoga Nidra teaching experience. Some of the senior teachers also bring their energy healing and transpersonal psychotherapy experience to this program.
