Anneliese Seeliger is an experienced therapist dedicated to the practice of Shiatsu, the Japanese art of deep therapeutic massage.  She studied under Tetsuro (Ted) Saito.   Skilled practitioners ease discomfort and increase relaxation, promoting prevention of and recovery from illnesses by engaging and supporting the body’s innate healing abilities.

Her personal style of shiatsu therapy reflects her interest in Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, yoga, nutrition, reflexology, hot stone and thai yoga massage as well as certain “western” concepts about anatomy and physiology, infused with her own warm and vivacious personality.

Anneliese sincerely believes that happiness and fulfillment come through seeking joy in truth, and not through duress and struggle.  As such, her approach to Shiatsu is distinctive in its profound blend of depth and gentleness.  She states:

“In restoring balance to the body, my goal is to coax, remind, ease and encourage - sometimes even cajole - but not force.”

By focusing on the needs of the individual and acknowledging the body’s own intelligence, Anneliese finds the “zone” where her clients can reach that balance in comfort, self-fulfillment, and physical relief.
