Andrew
found his calling in helping people overcome obstacles and reach their
highest potential. In his practice, he is guided by the wisdom of
eastern introspective traditions, by modern research and insights into
emotional healing, by his life experience and his intuition.
Andrew
is a psychotherapist at the Counselling Clinic of the Transformational
Arts College, and in private practice in Scarborough, ON, and he is a
leadership consultant. He is a a
registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) and a member of the
International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
His love
of yoga
started while in university, in the Sivananda tradition and was later
influenced by Kripalu yoga.He then focused his attention on
building a wonderful family and a successful career in technology and
executive leadership. Years later, looking for more balance in his
life, he resumed his yoga practice. Meeting a great teacher -
Esther Myers -
inspired him to enroll in her two-year yoga teacher training program.
This intense immersion into yoga practice and philosophy had a very
significant impact on his life and practice. The style of yoga he
started teaching was focusing on reconnecting with the inner self
through movement, breathing and awareness. He was very happy to share
the many benefits of yoga practice with his students. Yet once he
discovered the transformative power of Yoga Nidra his path turned
towards Yoga Therapy. Training in psychotherapy has provided him
with the wonderful insights and tools to support both his counselling
and yoga therapy practice. For more information Andrew's work please visit www.empoweredbystillness.com
